Proud to build the best asphalt driveways in Minnesota, Plehal has been in the asphalt construction business since 1949. We specialize in residential driveways, parking lots, tennis courts, pathways, patch repair work and sealcoating. The area we cover is a 90-mile radius from operations in Shakopee, MN.

We guarantee all our new driveways:

Against excessive cracking due to faulty installation of materials, and against chuckholes and breakup.  When work is properly installed, the customer remains happy for many years.

 
Insurance & Financial Responsibility
Our firm carries all of the insurance required by law. Our customers are further protected by the additional insurance we have while working on their property. We are proud of our long history of a perfect credit record. Please check us out with the Better Business Bureau.

Jack Van Remortel, our president, has more than 30 years of asphalt experience.

We have four members of our assessment team:

Rich Peltier, who has been with us since 1980, handles our commercial clients. He has been in the asphalt business since 1975.

Erik Anderson, who has been with us since 2001, was most recently our paving foreman. Erik now works with owner associations and property managers to both bid on and budget for repairs and maintenance. He also handles the southwest area.

John Toedt, who has recently joined our company, handles the southern and eastern areas. He also works with owner associations and property managers to both bid on and budget for repairs and maintenance.

Tom Plehal, who has been with us since 1976, is the son of the founder. He handles the northern and western areas.
